When we founded ONA in 2025, we envisioned more than just an online high school. We envisioned a learning space without borders — one where a student in a remote village could access the same quality education as a student in downtown Toronto. One where guidance, care, and academic excellence could reach every learner, no matter where they live or what language they speak at home.

With over 31 years of experience in education as a teacher, head teacher, vice principal, principal, chief academic officer, and college manager, I’ve seen what works — and what fails — in both traditional and digital classrooms. That experience is now embedded into the heart of this school.
